 ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in the Field of Higher education (CBHE)

Launching the project “Library Network Support Services: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries”

On March 7 to 10, Silvia DULSCHI, chief of Science and PhD Department, and Rodica SOBIESCKI-CAMERZAN, chief of Scientific Library, participated in Library Network Support Services: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries Project Kick-Off  meeting in Brasov, Romania, launched by Erasmus + CBHE call for proposals.

The direct beneficiaries of the project are librarians and reforms carried out will have a positive impact on academic staff, students, administrative staff of universities, but also on people with special needs.The overall project goal is to modernize and strengthen libraries, improving librarian staff skills, in higher education institutions in Moldova, Armenia and Belarus.

The project aims at creating and maintaining a network of support services in the Eastern Partnership countries "library network" that would transform libraries of institutions involved in the project in some modern, relevant and accessible.

Participants kick-off meeting of the project were welcomed by event host - Angela Repanovici, PhD. Prof., Transylvania University of Brasov, Romania; Jerald Cavanagh, the ERASMUS + - EU program for education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020.

Project Overview for the Eastern Partnership countries and Balkan Countries was conducted by Jerald Cavanagh; Padraig Kirby, representatives of ERASMUS + - EU program for education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020.

Project Leader for the Eastern Partnership countries, Dr. Teresa Khechoyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia, described the goal and objectives, work packages, planning activities, training program, piloting and policy development, management quality and evaluation, dissemination and sustainability.

Manana Salukvadze, financial coordinator of International Projects, spoke about the financial rules for projects CBHE about guidelines for the use of the Grant, and explaining their treatment.

The program of professional meeting also has provided a visit to the Library of Transylvania University of Brasov and Bran Castle.
